I had a few profound experiences from the cannabis plant in 2009, it helped with my OCD, and at the same time she introduced herself as a spiritual teacher to me. CBD is short for cannabidiol, and it's one of many molecules that organically actives each of our endocannabinoid systems. CBD and THC are the two most well known cannabinoids, but very few people know of the many (over 100) others, or about terpene profiles. I'm not going to dive deep into the science here because most of you would rather hear testimonials that an abundance of information. Just know that cannabis is the genus that has hemp (THC less than 0.3%) and marijuana plants. CBD products are not psychoactive.
I started volunteering in the cannabis legalization movement in 2010. That first year I gathered over 3,000 signatures, and over the years I coordinated hundreds of volunteers, registered voters, and facilitated student organizations. Doing all of this meant talking with tens of thousands of people. I foresaw a new, regenerative economy based on hemp; hemp sequesters carbon with products such as hempcrete, hemp-plastics, and textiles. I had no idea though how beneficial CBD was then. At the end of 2016 the U.S. government allowed states to pursue their respective legalized hemp policies, and I've been observing the CBD industry blossom since 2017!
